How to create tokens for Roll 20! 1. Save your artwork as a 512x512 pixel, 72 dpi PNG file. I like to keep a transparent background with circular outline around the portrait (like in the video.) Name it something cool and memorable! 2. Launch your Roll20 game and go to the "Art Library" tab (second tab on the top right menu.) Click the "Upload" button and a pop up will appear in the virtual table top. Click "Choose a file..." and select your saved artwork. 3. The artwork will be imported into you Recent Uploads on the right hand side menu. You can create folders to organize your tokens by clicking the "Add" button (next to "Upload".) Click on the folder and you'll get another pop up in the virtual table top. Click and drag your artwork/tokens from the Recent Uploads section into the folder pop up. 4. Make sure you are on the "Objects & Tokens" layer of the virtual table top (Second tool on the left side menu.) Now you can click and drag your tokens from your folder onto the virtual table top. If your page has a grid set up, they will snap to a single square size. You can click on the token in the virtual table top and rescale it however you like! Hope this is helpful! This is a video on creating your own Token for Table Top Gaming, specifically for Roll20. Step by step: Find a picture you like. Copy and paste it to a Word document. Click the picture in Word. Click Format. Click Remove Background. After that, you simply click "Mark Areas to Keep" or "Mark Areas to Remove" to make the minor adjustments necessary to get the Token exactly how you want it. Then right click the picture when you think you're satisfied and click "Save as Picture" and I usually save mine to the Desktop, so that I am able to easily click and drag the new Token right onto the Roll20 screen. It's that simple.

I just did an ICO review yesterday on a controversial project that some are calling 'the End of Ian Balina', and as I was doing the review I was thinking to myself that I had heard of a similar project trying to transform ideas into dapps but without the grand and perhaps impossible ambitions of scaling to 10m tx/s. It was of course Fabric Token and I went in on their ICo back in February as it had potential, and a low market cap of $9m. I like Fabric Token even more now and I think it is going places. Hulk movie clips: http://j.mp/2jWpf5h BUY THE MOVIE: http://bit.ly/2kxNsBZ Don't miss the HOTTEST NEW TRAILERS: http://bit.ly/1u2y6pr CLIP DESCRIPTION: David Banner (Nick Nolte) experiments on himself after seeing what his son became. FILM DESCRIPTION: Ang Lee directs the live-action feature film The Hulk, based on the Marvel comic book created by Stan Lee and illustrated by Jack Kirby. Emotionally stunted Dr. Bruce Banner (Eric Bana) is part of a research team at the University of California at Berkeley. Corporate hustler Glenn Talbot (Josh Lucas) takes notice of the lab and makes plans to take it over. Then Bruce accidentally gets hit by an experimental ray and grows into a huge beast, destroying the lab in the process. A creepy janitor who claims to be his real father, Dr. David Banner (Nick Nolte), starts to secretly use the experimental ray on himself. He creates some mutant dogs and sends them after Bruce's lab mate and ex-girlfriend Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly). After Bruce saves her life in the form of the Hulk, she lets her distant father, General Ross (Sam Elliott), take him to an abandoned army base in the desert. However, Glenn Talbot takes over the operation and wants to patent the creature's superpowers for his own profit, so he holds Bruce unconscious in an isolation tank. When provoked, Bruce turns into the Hulk and makes a break for San Francisco, leading to a desert chase sequence involving military aircraft, tanks, and bombs. Only the sight of Betty can make him turn back to his human form. When he is eventually captured, Dr. David Banner shows up for a final confrontation with his son and his old adversary, General Ross. Within about 24 hours I will know if the rogue AI at YouTube slams the “limited or no advertising" stamp into it, or not. Actually, I only know if it does so *when* it does it. Then, I need to wait an additional 25 hours for YouTube staff to manually review it and clear the flag. If the flag does not appear, then it is possible that the bot just has not scanned it yet and I need to wait longer. Premature publication could mean that the bot will mark it after it has already been published, and then I will not receive any revenue for the first spike of views. It used to be 18 hours (since uploading that the bot does its evil deeds), but nowadays YT recommends waiting just 3 hours. We will see, we will see. #Bisqwit #Compiler #Tutorial
TouchTokens: Guiding Touch Patterns with Passive Tokens Rafael Morales González, Caroline Appert, Gilles Bailly, Emmanuel Pietriga CHI '16: ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems Session: Everyday Objects as Interaction Surfaces Abstract TouchTokens make it possible to easily build interfaces that combine tangible and gestural input using passive tokens and a regular multi-touch surface. The tokens constrain users' grasp, and thus, the relative spatial configuration of fingers on the surface, theoretically making it possible to design algorithms that can recognize the resulting touch patterns. We performed a formative user study to collect and analyze touch patterns with tokens of varying shape and size. The analysis of this pattern collection showed that individual users have a consistent grasp for each token, but that this grasp is user-dependent and that different grasp strategies can lead to confounding patterns. We thus designed a second set of tokens featuring notches that constrain users' grasp. Our recognition algorithm can classify the resulting patterns with a high level of accuracy (greater than95%) without any training, enabling application designers to associate rich touch input vocabularies with command triggers and parameter controls. Kubernetes supports OpenID Connect as an Authentication Scheme. But what is OpenID Connect and how is it different from OAuth2? This video gives a very brief introduction about all the moving parts: Identity Provider, OpenID Connect (including Discovery), OAuth2, JWTs and more. You’ll learn how an authorization grant flow works and how it integrates with the Kubernetes API. Additionally we’ll retrieve a token and inspect it in more detail. And all that in a single, short video. If you only have 10 minutes to understand OIDC and OAuth2, then this is the video you won’t want to miss.
OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) are internet standards that enable one application to access data from another. Unfortunately, these standards use a lot of jargon and terminology that make them more difficult to understand. The goal of this video is to explain how these standards work using simplified illustrations. This presentation was recorded at GOTO Berlin 2018. #gotocon #gotober http://gotober.com Philippe De Ryck - Founder of Pragmatic Web Security, Google Developer Expert ABSTRACT OAuth is a delegation framework that appears on the radar of security professionals and developers more and more every day. OAuth intersects with authentication and access control, yet you would not likely use OAuth in and of itself for authentication, session management or an access control in your applications. Even more confusing, OAuth is not a standard and various service providers will likely have different implementations. Let's say it again, OAuth is not a standard - its a framework for delegation. So this leaves us with questions! What really is delegation? Growing up, many of us had to contend with the Smurfette principle: stories where there was only one girl in the whole gang—the token, the love interest, and the character who had to stand in for all girls everywhere. But times have changed, and many creators are writing their dream girl gangs, squads, and inclusive ensembles. So how do you build your modern squad from the ground up? How do you decide what kinds of characters will best complement, conflict, and have chemistry with each other? And why is writing and/or drawing a girl gang just so gosh darn fun? Join creators Cecil Castellucci (The Plain Janes), Sarah Kuhn (Heroine Complex), Sam Maggs (The Unstoppable Wasp: Built on Hope), Afua Richardson (Black Panther: World of Wakanda), Steenz (Heart of the City), and Rebekah Weatherspoon (A Cowboy to Remember) as they discuss the challenges and joys of squad goals and building the modern girl gang.

This is fourth in a series about computer networks. The word topology refers to the layout and wiring of a local area network. This video describes the main layouts including the bus, the star, the ring and the mesh, in terms of their advantages and disadvantages. It also describes the role of a hub. The differences in the way that data packets are transmitted on Ethernet and Token Ring networks is illustrated. The increasingly popular wireless mesh network is also described.
Presented at Activate 2018 Slides: https://www.slideshare.net/treygrainger/how-to-build-a-semantic-search-system Building a semantic search system - one that can correctly parse and interpret end-user intent and return the ideal results for users’ queries - is not an easy task. It requires semantically parsing the terms, phrases, and structure within queries, disambiguating polysemous terms, correcting misspellings, expanding to conceptually synonymous or related concepts, and rewriting queries in a way that maps the correct interpretation of each end user’s query into the ideal representation of features and weights that will return the best results for that user. Not only that, but the above must often be done within the confines of a very specific domain - ripe with its own jargon and linguistic and conceptual nuances. This talk will walk through the anatomy of a semantic search system and how each of the pieces described above fit together to deliver a final solution. We'll leverage several recently-released capabilities in Apache Solr (the Semantic Knowledge Graph, Solr Text Tagger, Statistical Phrase Identifier) and Lucidworks Fusion (query log mining, misspelling job, word2vec job, query pipelines, relevancy experiment backtesting) to show you an end-to-end working Semantic Search system that can automatically learn the nuances of any domain and deliver a substantially more relevant search experience. The time lapse version of me creating an acrylic painting of Bevy of Beebles, a new Legendary Planeswalker from Magic the Gathering's Unsanctioned set. Beebles are tiny, mischievous creatures I created back in the 1990's. They first appeared on an illustration I did for the cover of Duelist Magazine. The team at Magic the Gathering saw the creatures, liked them, and asked if they could include them in the card game. I said yes, and over the years they have appeared on numerous Magic the Gathering cards, all but one illustrated by me. With the release of Unsanctioned, the Beebles have now become a Legendary Planeswalker. The original, 24"x36" painting is being auctioned (ends Monday, February 3, 2020 at 10pm Central Time) here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/mtgartmarket/permalink/2641508662746003/ Thanks, Jeff Miracola Get in-person instruction from me. #ai #nlp #attention The quadratic resource requirements of the attention mechanism are the main roadblock in scaling up transformers to long sequences. This paper replaces the full quadratic attention mechanism by a combination of random attention, window attention, and global attention. Not only does this allow the processing of longer sequences, translating to state-of-the-art experimental results, but also the paper shows that BigBird comes with theoretical guarantees of universal approximation and turing completeness. Unfortunately, one of their core limitations is the quadratic dependency (mainly in terms of memory) on the sequence length due to their full attention mechanism. To remedy this, we propose, BigBird, a sparse attention mechanism that reduces this quadratic dependency to linear. We show that BigBird is a universal approximator of sequence functions and is Turing complete, thereby preserving these properties of the quadratic, full attention model. Along the way, our theoretical analysis reveals some of the benefits of having O(1) global tokens (such as CLS), that attend to the entire sequence as part of the sparse attention mechanism. The proposed sparse attention can handle sequences of length up to 8x of what was previously possible using similar hardware. As a consequence of the capability to handle longer context, BigBird drastically improves performance on various NLP tasks such as question answering and summarization. We also propose novel applications to genomics data. Little bit on how this is going to work: we’re going to start with an overall comment on your work, your direction, your artist statement– and then we’re going to go piece by piece, exploring your work, and then I’ll offer your standard critique! We’re gonna talk about what you could improve on, what you’re doing well, and then– thank you so much for including two book dummies, which is amazing! So, we’re going to conclude this portfolio by examining those book dummies, and, kind of wrapping it up! So, we’re starting with this image as the piece to look at the overview of your work, because I think it shows a lot of your good qualities. You say in your artist statement that you’re drawn to youthful sensibilities, shape, color, narratives, both whimsical and the tiny moments. And you really want to create content for children. And, check the boxes on all accounts. This is great. Your shape and your color consistently is very strong throughout your work. Those are your strongest pieces, I would say. You say you want to improve your craft so your art feels concrete and deliverable. We’ll explore this in more detail throughout, but I really think you’re there. I think, in a way, you’re asking the wrong question about your work. Now, your work right now, this portfolio– it sounds frustrating, but– it reads as a student portfolio. Now, let me say it reads as a phenomenal student portfolio, but it reads as a student portfolio. The work that’s displayed is a lot of one-off images, with the exception of your children's’ books, and what art directors and agents like to see in work is consistency. They want to see the same character repeated multiple times, in different situations with different lighting, different expressions, and right now what I mean by the student portfolio– it looks almost assignment-driven. Now, again, your work is incredibly strong, and it’s a really good student portfolio, but that’s where I think it just needs some time for you to create more work, more series. To say the frustrating crit phrase, I love it, we just need to see more. Now, there’s...no worries about taking your time on that. Let’s explore this piece first.
